Anytime anywhere learning is brought to reality in Limburg. The presentation gives an overview of the project in terms of architecture, technology and implementation. What are the lessons learned making this a success in a school with 4000 students and 400 professors? What was the user experience for the students and what is the evaluation after 2 years of WLAN operations at the Campus? Until recently the WLAN market has been vertically focused by industry. Early adoption was limited to those companies where workers where not bound to their desktops like retail, warehousing, logistics, hotels,… The increasing take up of WLAN equipment together with wireless-enabled laptops has created a user base for public wireless hot spots. Unfortunately there is a thin line between reality and wishful thinking.
The FITCE lunch sessions on HOTSPOTS offer you a unique opportunity to keep up to date with the latest evolutions and insight by industry professionals in terms of public wireless LAN applications.
