Special Events at
The Pier
The City's Newest Venue
for Special Events
Just footsteps away from one
of the Lower Mainland's most
desirable neighbourhoods, the
waterfront has been opened
to the public for the first time
in more than 100 years. On the
shores of the historic Versatile
Shipyard site and the future
home of the National Maritime
Centre, the Pier is the City's
newest waterfront attraction.
Playing host to a number of special
events throughout the year, the Pier is
fast becoming one of the City's hottest
recreational and tourist destinations.
With the ever popular Lonsdale Quay
and Waterfront Park nearby and the
future home of the National Maritime
Centre on site, the Pier is gaining
popularity as the premier waterfront
destination in North Vancouver. Be one
of the first to tap into this new venue
opportunity today.
Weddings and Photography
Unparalleled opportunities exist for weddings and
photography at the Pier. With multiple backdrops
ranging from urban skylines and nautical scenes,
to turn-of-the-century industrial buildings and
beautiful shorelines, no other location offers such
diverse scenery.
Holding your wedding or photo shoot at the Pier
can help provide your images with a strong sense
of time and place, and enhance those precious
moments you want to capture.
With plenty of moorage space available for a wide
range of vessels, the Pier is the perfect spot for
wedding parties bound for the sea.
The Burrard Dry Dock Pier
The new Pier facility includes the 700ft long Burrard
Dry Dock Pier, and the smaller floating St. Roch
Dock and terrace. Both allow for moorage of a wide
range of vessels from small pleasure craft to large
commercial and navy vessels.
The Pier also has several walkways and performance
areas to service the growing number of residents
and tourists visiting on a daily basis.
Events and Performances
From receptions to live performances to craft
fairs, the Pier provides an ideal venue and the
perfect backdrop for any public event. With
Lonsdale Quay nearby and breathtaking views
from every angle, the possibilities are endless.
As residents and tourists visit to watch the sunset,
share lunch together or relax on weekends,
performers are sure to find a growing audience
thirsty for some seaside entertainment.
Community events and private bookings are also
welcome and special events are hosted year-round.
Ample moorage space and the historic Versatile
Shipyards site make the Pier a perfect location for
marine-based events.
